We're Excited For You To Get Here!

Thanks for traveling to be with us! Here are some of our suggestions for places to stay and things to do while you are in town.

Transportation

We both tend to dislike driving. Because of this, we tried to organize our wedding so our guests can also avoid driving, if desired.

  • If you are flying in, consider taking the light rail into downtown Minneapolis and staying at one of the many hotels in close proximity to the wedding.
  • Taxi cabs are easy to find in downtown and are only about a $5 trip to the wedding.
  • Consider a bike! (Really!) Minneapolis is now home to Nice Ride, a bike sharing program with 60 kiosks around downtown and surrounding neighborhoods. If you take a Nice Ride bike to the wedding, you can park it at the kiosk on Main Street.

Hotels

University Inn

A short walk from the ceremony and reception. We've reserved a block of rooms here. Tell them you are with the Warren-Johnson wedding.

The Depot Minneapolis

Across the river by way of the Stone Arch Bridge, The Depot has a waterpark.

Nicollet Island Inn

A beautiful hotel on Nicollet Island. Great location, and a short walk to the wedding.

Aloft

Trendy, cool hotel across the river, but an easy walk.

Things To See and Do

These are a few things that we like doing around here.

Nice Ride

Grab a bike for $5 and take a ride around the area. There's a Nice Ride station across the street from Pracna, and 64 other stations are scattered around the city.

Explore The Riverfront

Walk across the Stone Arch Bridge, visit the Mill Ruins, check out the old Grain Belt sign.

Guthrie Theater

You can walk around this amazing theater and check out some great views of the river and the St. Anthony Main area.

The Master Butchers Singing Club will be showing on Friday night and Saturday afternoon before the wedding.

Human on a Stick

Segway tours of Minneapolis. We've never actually done this, but Chris really wants to ride a Segway some day.

Places to Eat

Some of the restaurants in the area that we like to visit.

Bulldog NE

Tasty burgers and cupcakes. The togarashi tots are pretty excellent too. Kaitlin's surprise birthday party was held here.

Brasa

Creole style rotisserie. Great food, go with a few people and share some things.

Punch Pizza

Neapolitan pizza. Light and ready in minutes.

Hell's Kitchen

Fantastic breakfast foods. Try the bison sausage.
